This isolated Perry Farrell vocal could partly explain the Jane’s Addiction onstage bust-up

Jane’s Addiction probably came to an end back on September 13 when, during a show in Boston, Perry Farrell snapped and gave guitarist Dave Navarro a shot to the chest onstage. The fight continued backstage when Perry apparently punch Dave in the face.

There have been a lot of stories about what happened. Those around Perry say that he lost it after dealing with a bad onstage vocal mix combined with his terrible tinnitus. Others have planned Perry for perhaps imbibing too much and kinda phoning it it.

This clip of the Boston show posted by Dave’s guitar tech–a guy who has been working for Dave for 17 years–posted these isolated vocals of Perry that night complete with some commentary about Perry’s performance. Judge for yourself as to what’s actually going on.
