This live-action re-creation of the opening of The Simpsons is…interesting

The Simpsons debuted on Fox on December 17, 1989. At last count, there have been 753 episodes and (nearly) as many couch gags for the opening sequence. Is this the first time someone has done a live-action re-creation of the titles? If this is old, how am I just learning about it? Where have I been?
