This new musical work automatically follows the phases of the moon, so it runs 29.53 days. Cool.
Craig Colorusso is fascinated by the waxing and waning of the moon–so much so that he created a cyclic done piece that mimics the moon’s phases, Naturally, it’s called “Moon Phases.”
There’s an art installation called Moon Pod that goes along with the music. Measuring 12x12x12, it plays the music (on a 29.53 day loop, which is how long it takes the moon to orbit the earth) as well as allowing both the sun and the moon to cast shadows.
You can find it at the UCCS campus in Colorado Spring, Colorado.
