This streaming music service gets it right when it comes to AI-generated music

Every day, servers around the world have to deal with more AI slop music. Tens of thousands of these songs are uploaded every day.

Deezer, the Paris-based streaming music service, seems to be doing the most when it comes to keeping BS AI-generated music out of its users’ streams. Deezer alone has filtered out more than 42 million AI-generated tracks since it started tracking things in January 2025.

Who wants this stuff? Last November, a poll revealed that nearly half of people who stream music (45%) would like to screen out 100% of all AI-generated slop.

Now Deezer is putting more power into the hands of its customers. By the end of this year, its interface will offer an on/off switch that will “allow users to exclude AI-generated content as they search for music.” Toggle it on and all AI music disappears from your feed forever.

Can we have all streamers adopt something like this? Please?
