This will go down in history as the most expensive guitar string ever

Anything related to The Beatles has tremendous value. And I do mean anything.

A single acoustic guitar string that was once strung on Paul McCartney‘s Epiphone Texas model used during the sessions for Rubber Soul album in 1965. The best guess is that this string was plucked on “Michelle.” The certificate of authenticity say it came into the possession of its first owner was a member of The Beatle fan club who won it in a contest. It then transferred to the current owner upon his death.

This lone string is going up for auction through Special Auction Services in Newbury, England. The estimated sale price? A mere US$5,000.
