Thursday Morning Music News

Lost in all the Steve Jobs news?  Take a break and see what’s going on in music this morning.

Now that Entourage is wrapping up, Jeremy “Air Gold” Piven is looking for a new gig.  He’s love to play The Who’s Keith Moon in a bio-pic.  Good idea.  Check out the separated-at-birth pictures.

Yes, Ministry is back.  Well, Al Jourgensen’s back.  No sign of Paul Barker.

A Dutch music executive and his girlfriend were found dead in Joshua Tree National Park.  Apparently, they never found what they were looking for.  (Sorry.  That came out harsher than intended.)

Noel Gallagher was offered a role on the awesome British TV show, The Royle Family.  I mean, Oasis did contribute the theme song to the set-in-Manchester show.  Personally, I can’t wait until he finally accepts an invitation on Top Gear.  (He and I had a conversation about that once.  His response:  “But I don’t have a driver’s license.”  My response:  “Who cares?”)
