Concerts

Ticketmaster is embracing AI. Here’s how.

Everyone’s into AI these days, including Ticketmaster. It’s in the process of launching at ChatGPT app so that people who use chatbots as search engines will have a better chance of bagging concert tickets.

I quote: “Fans can now discover events and explore ticket options directly inside ChatGPT, without needing to leave the conversation. Once connected to the Ticketmaster app, fans can easily find events and compare seating options.”

But wait! There’s more.

Expect “sponsored ad placements.” Ticketmaster and ChatGPT want to know if relevant ads can boost sales. Again, I quote: “Questions like ‘What concerts are near me?’ or ‘What events are happening this weekend?’ can be answered with relevant ads as they signal real-time intent in purchase consideration.”

SeatGeek did something similar last month. Ticketmaster is also working on something with Google, too.
