Time again for the weekly Canadian CD and vinyl sales report, along with streaming stats (16 July 2026)

All of the summer records are out. Plans are rolling out for the fall and winter. Where are we with sales and streams? Luminate reports.

  • CDs sold in Canada last week: 28,897 (Down 5.6% from last week.
  • Vinyl sales in Canada last week: 33,534 (Down 5.6% from last week)
  • CDs sold in Canada so far this year: 791,873 (Up 1.6% from a year ago. Sales on an annual basis continue to trend up.)
  • Vinyl sold in Canada this year: 941,244 (Up 6.8% from this time last year.)

  Streaming numbers:

  • Songs streamed in Canada last week: 2,952,360,889 (Down 01.% from a week ago)
  • Songs streamed in Canada so far this year: 80,367,500,675 (Up 3.5% from last year.)
