Time to start thinking about Canadian summer music festivals. First up: All Your Friends Fest at Burl’s Creek

We haven’t hit the first day of winter yet, which means we still have a long stretch of cold days and dark nights ahead of us, so it’s good to have some summer things to look forward to. That includes Canadian summer music festivals.

We already know about Coldplay and Oasis coming to the still-to-be-built Rogers venue at Downsview Park in Toronto. Now we can talk about the All Your Friends Fest at Burl’s Creek north of Barrie.

Set for June 28 and 29, the first headliners announced are Avril Lavigne and Simple Plan along with…actually, that’s it so far. But if we look at last year (Fall Out Boy, Billy Talent, Jimmy Eat World, and The All-American Rejects), there’s promise for something good.

Burl’s Creek has room for 100,000 people and 45,000 campers over its 600 acres.

Tickets go on sale today. Single-day admission tickets start at $149.99 (plus taxes and fees) and full weekend passes start at $249.99 (plus taxes and fees). Quite reasonable.

A full lineup will be announced soon.
