Time to talk about the Black Friday edition of Record Store Day

For the past several years, there have been two Record Store Days. The first is the traditional spot in April. The second is the Friday after American Thanksgiving, the official start (in America, anyway) of the Christmas shopping season. This year, that’s November 29.

Details about the Record Store Day deals for Black Friday are now starting to come out. Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, New Pornographers, and many, many more are participating with limited edition releases.

U2 also has some new material ready.

Meanwhile, Jack White’s Third Man Records has announced its Black Friday releases, They include Patsy Cline – Sweet Dreams: The Complete Decca Studio Masters 1960-1963 (3xLP- Yellow, purple & red vinyl) and Tenacious D – Blue Series 7″ (Black vinyl for RSD Black Friday, tri-color vinyl available only at TMR Nashville & Detroit)
