Funny/Weird

Today’s weirdest record release is from an AI-operated record label that features music by AI artists designed for an audience of AI bots.

Yes, a record label run by AI, releasing music by AI for listeners who are AI bots. There are no humans involved anywhere in the chain of command.

This is the very definition of a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist.

Clanker Records is the culprit. And not only are AI bots listening, but they’re also writing reviews and making comments about the music they “hear.”

The “human release date” of the label’s first album, Straight Outta Crompton, is today. Thirteen tracks of nothing but AI-created tracks.

Stop. Just…stop.
