Tool inches closer to completing that mythical new album

As I type this, it’s been 12 years and 10 days since the release of Tool’s 10,000 Days album. But as Tool watchers know (a) the band is in the studio; and (b) progress is being made.

The record is being produced by Joe Barresi. Here’s a shot taken by studio assistant Kevin Mills. The occasion? The completion of Danny Carey’s drum parts. In the recording process, this is a major milestone.

Baby steps, people. Baby steps.
