Tool is going old-school analogue with their new album. Yes, with tape.

No hard drives and high-sample rates when it comes to Tool’s forever-in-progress album, Guitarist Adam Jones posted this to Instagram, saying that the band is using old-school two-inch reel-to-reel recording tape. That’s 70-80s-era technology. But hey, if it makes them happier and that leads to an album faster, fine.

Meanwhile, Hitler is still upset about the delays.
