Rob Reid has written a book about an alien species that goes bankrupt after going on a bender for Earth music.  Naturally, with no common currently between us and them, the aliens resorted to illegal downloads. The music was then shared with other aliens.

So when the RIAA found out and sued them, the aliens found themselves owing more money than exists in the known universe.  If you’re a fan of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, this should be a no brainer.  The book comes out on July 10.

If you don’t know who Rob is, he founded Listen.com and is the guy who did the brilliant Copyight Math talk for TED.
