    huh.

i know absolutely nothing about him, or who he is, and he seems like a very sweet guy. but i can think of numerous other U2 fans who have seen hundreds of shows, met the band numerous times, travelled around the world to follow them on tour, bought thousands of dollars worth of merchandise and can quote obscure facts about the band like some kind of encyclopaedia. what makes this dude so special that he gets a film made about him? i don't get it.

you don`t get it ? whats to get ??? . a friend is a film maker . friend has crazy fun idea. friend starts making film . What should Mark`s very good friend do ? Make a film about you ? . Just a fun idea between friends that is becoming quite the project for them . He`s getting a film made about him because its THEIR idea to do so ( you sound like you have made an assumption that some outside force is behind the project by questioning why Mark is the subject ) . Just a couple of guys in toronto having a good time with an idea. Mark is a super sweet man and such a gentle soul .

why do you find it necessary to be snarky? please don't put words in my mouth. i haven't made any assumptions at all — in fact, that's exactly why i was asking the questions, because i didn't understand the reasoning behind it and was looking for an explanation.

as i said, he seems like an enthusiastic, happy, fun guy from the trailer. good for him and more power to him. i just didn't understand why he was singled out to make a film about, that's all. it is absolutely not clear from that trailer that he has a friend who is a filmmaker, or that it was "THEIR" idea to do so, so it's a natural question to ask.

The film has been submitted to a bunch of film festivals for the year 2013. Hopefully, when it comes out, all questions will be answered. I'm actually *not* very special. I do have a talented friend, Michael Corbiere, who had the zany idea to make a movie and tell a story. It's a movie not necessarily for the U2 fan….but for anyone who loves a band, has a passion, and likes to dream. It also makes fun of me.

However, yes… I AM that guy who has lots of merchandise, followed them on tour, and can quote obscure facts.
