Trump says Taylor Swift has to be loyal to him. Here’s why he’s nuts.
The Orange One believes in one-way loyalty: all fealty to him, none in the other direction. Just ask any of “the best people” he’s hired and fired over the years.
Republicans are terrified that Taylor Swift might (again) offer her endorsement to Joe Biden, something that could skew turnout in this November’s presidential election. Trump’s argument is that she should be grateful and loyal to him because–well, look at this bonkers post on this broke-ass social media platform.
To be clear, the Music Modernization Act was a long-overdue piece of legislation signed in 2018 (when Trump was president) that brought American laws up to date when it came to things like streaming. It didn’t only apply to Tay-Tay but to ALL musicians. Although the bill was introduced by a Republican (Bob Goodlatte of Virginia), it was a bi-partisan effort that passed 415-0 in the House and unanimously in the Senate. Trump did sign the bill, but there was no reason for him to veto it given its widespread support.
Once again, Trump inflates his role in something in which he had almost no part.
“Once again, Trump inflates his role in something in which he had almost no part…”
Yep, lots of liberal self made billionaire women are flocking to the Republican Party…
I know that when someone aggressively TELLS me why I should do something in a near condescending manner that insults my intelligence. I’m right in line to follow their instructions.
