Tuesday Science Fun: 10 Creepy Sounds Recorded in Space

Sound doesn’t travel without some kind of medium (like air), so things don’t tend to make a lot of noise in space. Unless, of course, you listen in different ways. PCMag has this list of 10 sounds that NASA managed to record in space. Here are a couple of examples:

Here’s what Europa, a most interesting moon of Jupiter, sounds like.

Makes me kinda go “hmmm.”

Then there’s the sound of crossing Saturn’s rings.

And one of the Voyager spacecraft crossing into interstellar space.
