Turns out the guy who attacked Dave Chappelle onstage is an aspiring rapper

Dave Chappelle was doing his set at the Hollywood Bowl as part of the Netflix is a Joke Festival on Tuesday night when he was attacked by some random dude from the audience.

The attacker was 23-year-old Isaiah Lee, an aspiring rapper, who allegedly had replica gun and a knife.

The dude was beaten to a pulp by security. He’s now being held in jail on felony charges pending $30,000 bail.

Lee released a song called “Dave Chappelle” in 2020. He also released material defending Donald Trump. You can listen to some of his songs here. As for a motive? No clue.
