Concerts

Two more summer concert series have been announced for Ontario

It’s still pretty cool in Southern Ontario, but it can’t be much longer before things start properly warming up. It has to, because we have a very short outdoor concert season.

First, it’s the Jackson-Triggs Concert Series at their vineyard in Niagara-On-The Lake. I’ve been to a few of these events and they’re wonderful, with an amphitheatre set up among the vines. This year’s all-Canadian lineup looks like this:

• Sam Roberts Band — Friday, June 20 & Saturday, June 21
• The Strumbellas — Friday, June 27
• Stars — Friday, July 4
• William Prince — Saturday, July 5
• Colin James — Friday, July 11
• Chantal Kreviazuk — Saturday, July 12
• Matt Andersen with special guest, Terra Lightfoot — Friday, July 18
• Tim Baker with special guest, Georgia Harmer — Saturday, July 19
• The Trews Electric — Friday, July 25
• The Trews Acoustic — Saturday, July 26
• Classic Albums Live: The Beatles: Abbey Road — Friday, August 8
• Trooper — Friday, August 15
• Donovan Woods — Saturday, August 16
• Tenille Townes — Thursday, August 21
• Big Wreck — Friday, August 22
• Noah Reid — Saturday, August 23
• Jim Cuddy – Friday, September 5
• USS — Saturday, September 6
• Dwayne Gretzky — Friday, September 12 (70’s) & Saturday, September 13 (80’s)

Ticket sales start tomorrow and can be found here.

And are we actually already talking about the CNE already? (For those outside of Southern Ontario, the Canadian National Exhibition is heralds the end of summer. And we’re talking about it in April.)

Some of the CNE headliners have been announced for 2025 for when the concert series kicks off on August 15.

  • August 15: Shawn Desman
  • August 16: Loverboy
  • August 22: July Talk
  • August 23: Three Dog Night
  • August 26: Bishop Briggs
  • August 29: Marianas Trench
  • August 30: Dean Brody
