U2 debuted a new song with a street performance in Las Vegas

U2 fans had been expecting a new song ahead of the band’s residency at the MSG Sphere which begins on September 29th. It arrived in the form of a concert on a flatbed trailer on Freemont Street in the old part of town Saturday night (September 19). Naturally, there’s video. It’s called “Atomic City” and is described by Bono as something “in the tradition of late 70s post-punk” like Blondie and The Clash.

And yes, that is Larry Mullen playing drums. He could manage this show but the rehab on his back will prevent him from playing the Sphere gigs.
