U2 Performs on Top of NBC’s 30 Rock HQ

Late Sunday afternoon, U2 performed “Invisible” twice for a group of about 100 invited fans on the upper observation deck of 30 Rockefeller Centre in New York.  Why?  Because they’re on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon tonight–and this is Jimmy’s first show as the host.  It’s also the first time since the early 60s that The Tonight Show has been based in NYC.  Nice way to start, huh?

The plan is for U2 to perform from the roof live tonight at 12 midnight ET.  But just in case the weather is bad, Sunday’s performances were recorded.

More details at @U2.  There’s also this tiny peek from Instagram that Alan found.
