U2’s Cursed Tour Rolls On: Honouring Their Fallen Tour Manager

Let’s recap U2’s annus horribilus so far:

September: The blowback from the release of Songs of Innocence through iTunes.

November: On his way to Germany, Bono’s private jet suffers a structural failure causing a cargo door to fall off in mid-flight.

November: Bono’s awful bicycle accident.

February: The death of Reverend Jack Heaslip, a member of the U2 “family” in Dublin. He was a very important teacher at Mount Temple High School and encouraged the young U2 in their early years.

May: On the eve of the start of the Innocence + Experience tour, Larry Mullen Jr’s father dies.

May: The Edge walks off the stage during the first show in Vancouver.

May: That same week, close friend B.B. King dies.

May: Dennis Sheehan, U2’s long-time tour manager (33 years!) died in his Los Angeles hotel room after a gig. Cause of death was a heart attack.

Have I missed anything? And what’s next? (Thanks to Michael for filling in a few blanks.)
