A University Course on Beyoncé? Yep.

Rutgers University doctoral student Kevin Allred teaches in the Department of Women and Gender Studies.  He describes the new class as “an attempt to explain how the performer’s music and career are use as lenses to explore American race, gender, and sexual politics.”

If you need to know more–and I can’t possibly imagine why–head here.  Meanwhile, I can’t wait for Allred to bring up this derp shot in class.
