This Unsigned Toronto Metal Band Wants a Platinum Album So They’re Selling Their New Record for $1

Every act wants to sell a million copies of their record, but given the state of the music industry, that’s a pipe dream–unless you get creative.

Toronto’s Exes for Eyes has a new record called Tongues Like Figure Eights and they’re determined to sell a million copies of the thing. How? By offering it for sale for $1.

They need to charge something for it because no industry organization with the power to award gold and platinum certifications will give anyone an award for giving anything away for free.
