So How Are Vinyl Sales Doing in the UK?

Very well, thanks for asking. The last week featured the highest sales total for vinyl in the UK since 1997. Annual sales for the format are now above 1 million units, comfortably ahead of the 780,000 units sold in all of 2014 and within firing range of the 1996 mark, which was 1,083,206 LPs.

Here’s the current UK Top 10 for vinyl for year-to-date sales:

  1. AM/Arctic Monkeys
  2. Lazaretto/Jack White
  3. The Endless River/Pink Floyd (It sold 6,000 copies in its first week.)
  4. Royal Blood/Royal Blood
  5. Definitely Maybe/Oasis
  6. The Stone Roses/Stone Roses
  7. The Dark Side of The Moon/Pink Floyd
  8. Led Zeppelin/Led Zeppelin
  9. Led Zeppelin III/Led Zeppelin
  10.  Led Zeppelin II/Led Zeppelin
