Wait a Sec: Did Daft Punk Punk Everyone at the Grammys?

When Daft Punk was onstage during the Grammys Saturday night, I saw a tweet that said “How do we really know that’s Daft Punk up there?”  Good point, I thought.  With the helmets, we had no proof that the robots appearing on camera were actually Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter.

And you know something?  Maybe we weren’t!

Spinr.co took these pictures at the Grammys.  Isn’t that  Guy-Manuel de HomemChristo and Thomas Bangalter sitting next to the robots in the audience?  WTF?

Compare those shots to this picture of them playing ping pong at the offices of their record company.

Here’s another picture of them without the helmets.

And then TMZ caught them at LAX on their way back to France after the Grammys.

Did they punk everyone? You decide.

  • I’m not really sure I care. Even if it was them, I’ll wager they were twiddling nobs in their performance that did absolutely nothing.
