Want Bono’s Sunglasses? Here’s a Chance
Although many people think that Bono’s predilection for sunglasses is some kind of hipster affectation, it’s not. His eyes have always been extra-sensitive to light so tinted lenses are something of a medical need for him.
No matter. Shades have been part of Bono’s image since at least the Achtung Baby era more than 20 years ago. And now a pair of these things are up for auction.
U2.com reports that a signed pair of sunglasses will go to the highest bidder in a charity auction that’s running until Sunday. If you win, your new shades will be signed by Bono–and you and a friend will collect them Bono hisself backstage after a show somewhere in the UK.
