Funny/WeirdRecommended Music

Want to annoy that co-worker who’s blaring Christmas music at you? Try this.

Back in the spring, Dr. Jagadeesh Pillai of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India, set out to create the world’s “longest officially released song.” With a running time of 138 hours, 41 minutes and 20 seconds, the Guinness people describe it like this:

“Dr. Pillai composed and recorded a single track based on the entire book of the poetic work “Shri Ram Charit Manas,” which consists of more than 15,000 verses. The epic poem is in the Awadhi language (a folk form of Hindi), and composed by the 16th-century Indian bhakti poet Goswami Tulsidas.”

How long can you last? Better yet, how long do you think your co-worker can take it?
