Want to be the New Singer of Stone Temple Pilots? Seriously, Are You Interested?

The Stone Temple Pilots have elected to continue on in some form or another without Scott Weiland who, as we know, died back on December 3. The DeLeo brothers and Eric Krentz are well-acquainted with auditioning singers, having embarked on plenty of Weiland-less projects. It’s just that none of them have been particularly successful.

Let’s see, there was Talk Show with a singer named David Coutts. Anyone remember Army of Anyone? No? That was two guys from STP with Filter singer Richard Patrick. And then there was STP MK II with Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington which was…okay, I guess.

Chester is no longer available, so it’s time to audition someone–anyone–new. Go here and here for more information. Hey, remember the saga of Judas Priest and Ripper Owens. And then there was Arnel Pineda, a Filipino singer who loved Journey so much that he ended up replacing Steve Perry.
