Was Metallica hacked by crypto scammers?

Metallica fans may have noticed something strange coming from Metallica’s X account this week. Starting Tuesday night, a crypto token called Solana was promoted in Metallica’s feed.

Solana, it said, “a dynamic new token on the Solana blockchain poised to revolutionize how you experience events and shop online.” Ticketmaster was allegedly involved, too.

Nope. This seems to be some kind of scam.

This isn’t the first time Metallica has had an account hacked. About two years ago, there was something about a “Metallica Crypto” giveaway. Fake fake fake.
