Watch this nine-year-old girl play Geddy Lee’s bits from “Tom Sawyer”

Geddy Lee is widely recognized as one of the best bass players who ever lived, a guy who spent decades learning to master his instrument. Now we have Ellen Alaverdyan, a 9-year-old who first picked up a bass guitar last year. She’s been posting bass covers of her doing songs like “Penny Lane” by The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix’s “Hey Joe,” and “Perfect Strangers” from Deep Purple, among others.

Her latest is tackling Rush’s “Tom Sawyer.” It’s…flawless. Maybe we should get her together with Nandi Bushell…
