Watch Tony Hawk cover NIN’s “Wish” (with a cameo from Trent Reznor)

I’m paraphrasing here, but I seem to recall that Trent Reznor once referred to Nine Inch Nail’s Broken EP as “an ultrafast chunk of hot death.” That’s a perfect description because the EP features some of the hardest songs in the NIN canon.

That was rather attractive to skateboarding legend Tony Hawk. Long a fan of this kind of music, he teamed up with an all-star backing band to cover “Wish,” a single from Broken. The band features former members of The Bronx, Every Time I Die, and The Dillinger Escape Plan in a come-together-over-Zoom performance. Oh, and Trent shows up. Watch carefully.
