Watch U2’s pro-Ukraine short film for the new song, “Yours Eternally”

Last Wednesday (February 18), U2 released a surprise six-track protest EP called Days of Ash. If you haven’t heard it yet, you should. It’s very good.

One of the songs is “Yours Eternally,” which is pro-Ukraine and features Ed Sheeran and Ukrainian singer Tara Topolia. A new four-and-a-half minute film arrives today on the fourth anniversary of Russia’s unprovoked attack on Ukraine. It was directed by Ilya Mikhaylus, a Ukrainian filmmaker and member of the Khartiya Corps.

It was shot in the winter of 2025 Mikhaylus was embedded with Ukrainian troops. This is what it’s like to be on the front lines of the war.
