She’s 80.  Son Sean is in the band and so are members of the Flaming Lips (Wayne Coyne shows up about halfway through sitting cross-legged on the floor with a megaphone.) In all honesty, given the state of certain segments of the indie music, this isn’t terrible.

In his 40+ years in the music business, Alan has interviewed the biggest names in rock, from David Bowie and U2 to Pearl Jam and the Foo Fighters. He’s also known as a musicologist and documentarian through programs like The Ongoing History of New Music.
