We have a winner in the first-ever AI Future Sound Awards

Yes, there is now a competition to see who can generate the best AI music. The Future Sound Awards, a new event this year by a company called Fanvue (also the organizers of a “Miss AI” beauty pageant) declared that a track inspired by Whitney Houston was the best.

The song, “Sweetest Illusion,” was created by Scott “Sword for Hire” Templeman. “I wanted a song Whitney Houston would be proud to sing. It had to be sensual but never cheap, powerful but not overwrought,” he said. Let’s have a listen.

Here are the other nominees. Be afraid. Very afraid. Or maybe this is just an indication of what kind of tool AI can be for creators. Take your pick.
