We Lose Another One: RIP Paul Kanter of Jefferson Airplane

Another rock star of the past has left us. Paul Kanter, a founding member of the Jefferson Airplane–as well as a guitarist and vocalist–died Thursday from multiple organ failure stemming from a heart attack earlier in the week.

Despite all the drugs consumed by the Airplane and their successor, Jefferson Starship, he’s the first member to pass away. He was 74. Billboard has this obituary.
