Is it really the last day of August?  How is this possible? 

The good news is that September 1st falls on a Thursday, which means we really don’t have to worry about reality until September 6th.  Then again, we’ll pay for it come January when the first work week of the New Year comes early.

On that cheery note, here’s some music news for your morning.

 

This doesn’t look good for the Vaccines, one of the new, young bands that’s supposed to be redefining British guitar music.  Many dates on both sides of the Atlantic have been cancelled because singer Justin Young needs another throat operation.  If you’re counting, that’s the third this year.

Backstage weirdness:  Eminem’s rider includes seedless watermelon, yogurt, a microwave and, er, a koi pond.

If you’re an artist of a certain again, here’s how you can go about getting your master recordings back.

Courtney love is now thinking of stalking Salmon Rushdie.  Rumour is he’s now thinking of moving to Iran to be safe.
