By this time next week, we’ll know the effect Adele’s 30 album had on both music sales and streaming. This week’s stats do include the first week sales/streams of Taylor Swift’s re-recorded Red album.

  • CD sales, -7.7%
  • Digital albums, -26.9%
  • Digital tracks, -25.3%
  • Vinyl LPs, +29.7%
  • On-demand audio streams, -0.5%

Week-to-week comparisons:

  • Total album sales, +13.3%
  • CD sales, +12.7%
  • Digital albums, +3.8%
  • Digital tracks, -3.0%
  • Vinyl LPs, +38.1%
  • On-demand audio streams, -0.5% (2.002 billion streams in the country last week)
