This is the second week of Adele. We’ll get to her 30 album in a sec, but first, let’s look at a comparison of Canadian music sales and streaming stats from this time a year ago.

  • Total album sales, -12.2%
  • CD sales, -7.6%
  • Digital albums, -26.6%
  • Digital tracks, -25.0%
  • Vinyl LPs, +25.9%
  • On-demand audio streams, +12.7%

Now here’s the week-over-week stats:

  • Total album sales, -13.4%
  • CD sales, 8.1%
  • Digital albums, -30.5%
  • Digital tracks, -1.3%
  • Vinyl LPs, -1.7%
  • On-deland audio streams, +1.8% (2.084 billion streams in the country last week, a new high)
