On cue, just as I was watching Winnipeg Jets die a humiliating death, MRC Data delivered the information on how Canadian recorded music faired last week. Let’s begin with looking at year-over-year comparisons.

- CD sales, -9.4%
- Digital albums, -22.7%
- Digital tracks, -26.6^
- Vinyl LPs, +57.4% (that is correct!)
- On-demand audio streams, +15.2%
What about week-over-week? Remember that the last report was heavily influenced the the release of The Tragically Hip’s Saskadelphia album. You can see the difference immediately.
