Another Monday night and Luminate has provided an update on what’s happening with the Canadian record music industry in 2023. We start with comparing last week to the same week last year.

  • CD sales, 0.0%
  • Digital albums, -12.6%
  • Digital tracks, -9.8%
  • Vinyl LPs, +16.9%
  • On-demand audio streams, +15.9%

This is last week compared to the week before:

  • Total album sales, -2.4%
  • CD sales, -1.9%
  • Digital albums, -1.0%
  • Digital tracks, -9.0%
  • Vinyl LPs, -5.6%
  • On-demand audio streams, +1.8% (2.807 billion streams in the country, an all-time high)
