MRC Data has provided this update on where the Canadian recorded music industry is as of this week. As usual, we begin with comparing last week to the same week in 2020.

- CD sales, – 6.5%
- Digital album sales, -27.8%
- Digital track sales, -26.9%
- Vinyl LPs, +50.6% (yes, that’s correct)
- On-demand audio streams, +12.5%

- CD sales, +3.3%
- Digital album sales, -2.9%
- Digital tracks, -0.5%
- Vinyl LPs, +9.6%
- On-demand audio streams, +0.2% (1.885 billion streams in the country last week)
