These last few months are make-or-break time for the Canadian recorded music industry. Here’s where we sit as of September 19.

Year-over-year numbers:

  • Total album sales, -10.8%
  • CD sales, -6.2%
  • Digital albums, -18.4%
  • Digital tracks, -17.2%
  • Vinyl LPs, -3.6%
  • On-demand audio streams, +13.7

Week-over-week numbers:

  • Total album sales, -0.8%
  • CD sales, +0.6%
  • Digital tracks, -8.5%
  • Digital tracks, -6,2%
  • Vinyl LPs, +13.2%
  • On-demand audio streams, +2.9% (2.238 billion streams in the country last week. That might be a new record.)
