Weekly Canadian music sales and streaming stats: 23 January 2023

A couple of days late, but here are your official Canadian music sales and streaming stats for the week ending January 20, 2023 (as reported January 23).

Year-over-year figures:

  • Total album sales, -6.3%
  • CD sales, -3.2%
  • Digital albums, -17.3%
  • Digital tracks, -5.9%
  • Vinyl LPs, +7.6%
  • On-demand audio streams, +19.4%

Now here’s how last week looked compared to the week before:

  • Total album sales, +3.5%
  • CD sales, +7.4%
  • Digital albums, -1/5%
  • Digital tracks, +6.4%
  • Vinyl LPs, +4.4%
  • On-demand audio streams, +3.1% (2.3667 billion streams in Canada last week).
