The figures from Luminate came in a little later than usual this week (Hey, it’s summer. We’ll cut them some slack.) Let’s start with comparing last week to the same week in 2022.

  • Total album sales, -4.1%
  • CD sales, -8,2%
  • Digital albums, -12.8%
  • Digital tracks, -11.0%
  • Vinyl LPs, +23.0%
  • On-demand audio streams, +15.7%

This now compares last week to the week before.

  • Total album sales, -10.0%
  • CD sales, -11.15
  • Digital albums, -3.3%
  • Digital tracks, +3.2%
  • Vinyl LPs, -15.0%
  • On-demand audio streams, +0.4% (2.526 billion streams in the country last week)
