This week’s report is fairly normal and well within the parameters of what we’ve seen this year. Just wait until next week’s report when the first-week numbers for Taylor Swift’s Midnights album are in.

  • CD sales, -6.4%
  • Digital albums, -17.9%
  • Digital tracks, -17.1%
  • Vinyl LPs, -3.3%
  • On-demand audio streams, +13.6%

Week-over-week numbers:

  • Total album sales, +11.1%
  • CD sales, +21.3%
  • Digital albums, +1.0%
  • Digital tracks, +1.9%
  • Vinyl LPs, +7.4%
  • On-demand audio streams, +1.8% (2.447 billion streams in Canada last week)
