I could have posted this last night but I was too busy watching Succession. How did Cousin Greg end up being the show’s sex symbol?

Here we go with the country’s music sales and streaming stats (courtesy MRC data) starting with a comparison of where we are today to where we were exactly a year ago.

  • Total album sales, -11.9%
  • CD sales, -5.9%
  • Digital albums, -27.6&
  • Digital tracks, -26.0%
  • Vinyl LPs, +37.4%
  • On-demand audio streams, +12.3%

Here are the week-over-week numbers:

  • Total album sales, +9.3%
  • CD sales, +9.3%
  • Digital albums, +8.0%
  • Digital tracks, +4.5%
  • Vinyl LPs, +11.3%
  • On-demand audio streams, +1.0% (1.980 billion streams in the country last week)
