Okay, this week’s report is a day late, but let’s not hold that against Luminate. Here’s what happened last week, starting with a comparison with the same week in 2022.

  • Total album sales, -4.4%
  • CD sales, -7.9%
  • Digital albums, -12.6%
  • Digital tracks, -10.7%
  • Vinyl LPs, +19.8%
  • On-demand audio streams, +18.3%

And here’s last week compared to the week before as we track things through 2023.

  • Total album sales, +1.0%
  • CD sales, -1.3%
  • Digital albums, +3.9%
  • Digital tracks, _4.0%
  • Vinyl LPs, +1.0%
  • On-demand audio streams, +1.1% (2.562 billion streams in the country last week)
