Weekly Canadian music sales and streaming stats: 28 November 2022

A little more than month left in the fiscal year for the recorded music industry. We’re getting a clearer idea of where 2022 will end up. Let’s start with comparing last week to the same week in 2022.

  • Total albums sales -12.1%
  • CD sales, -10.1%
  • Digital albums, -18.4%
  • Digital tracks, -16.9%
  • Vinyl LPs, –3.1%
  • On-demand audio streams, +13.5%

Here are the numbers from last week compared to the week before.

  • Total album sales, +11.7%
  • CD sales, +12.3%
  • Digital albums, +19.9%
  • Digital tracks, -0.7%
  • Vinyl LPs, +19.9%
  • On-demand audio streams, +0.7% (2.251 billion streams in the country last week)
