With most of January in the books, here’s how the Canadian recorded music industry is doing so far this year, starting as usual with the year-over-year stats.

Total album sales, -1.3%
CD sales, +22.1%
Digital albums, +14.7%
Digital tracks, -20.1%
Vinyl LPs, +3.5%
On-demand audio streams, +12.1%

Digital albums, +7.8%
Digitial tracks, +6.0%
Vinyl LPs, -3,8%
On-demand audio streams, +3.4% (2.029 billion streams in the country last week)
